The battle as seen from the Russian side
|
The Semenovski Guards run through the village to close the gaps in the centre |
|
While the Prageobrinski Guards run to the south side of the cemetery |
|
French Chevau-Legers Lanciers in the wood advance unseen against the Jaegers |
|
The Jaegrers are engaged at their front with the French reinforcements, whereas the Russian Guard cavalry has crossed the stream |
The
Russian losses are increasing and the bridge is in
French hands. The
Russian Guard seems the
key to extricate the Russians of the closing trap.
To be continued
Are the chasseurs in the woods bold enough to attack the Russians before the reinforcements arrive? Can they charge in woods in your rules? Otherwise they could make a real nuisance of themselves in the Russian rear while the French infantry facing them exploit the Russian distraction!
ReplyDeleteI use Lasalle rules and these allow cavalry to charge infantry in woods (rough terrain) with great bonus: infantry cannot form square, and although they achieve a +2 bonus for 'bad terrain', infnatry must halve combat dice so the final result is biased towards cavalry. I don't know if this reallistic!
DeleteThis is a great game to follow Rafa. I enjoy the 'serialised' reports and really like the way that the forces have built up. Thanks!

Thanks for your kind words. The pictures are only a sample. I take hendreds during a game! (luckily we are in a digital era)
