Gévora: the outcome

The battle of Gévora is near the end. One after another, like a house of cards, the Spanish batallions are being broken in the centre. See the Voluntarios de Navarra, taken in flank by the 2/134me de Ligne.

Meanwhile, the 10me de Ligne has taken a Spanish battery by means of a frontal assault.

The French dragoons have finished the encirclement of the Spanish army after breaking, or forcing to fall back, all the Spanish cavalry regiments.

Sálvese el que pueda!

  1. It looks like the Spanish have had quite a thrashing. Do they fight at a disadvantage under the Lasalle rules?

Yes, their staststics are not well and the cavalry is very poorIn general the statistics of the Sapnish are not very good in Lasalle. For example the cavalry is always one or two levels below the French and many of their infantry units are militia.
The only posibility is to entrench, but the Sapnish C-i-C choose to fight in open field (the dice of course!)

  3. Poor Spanish! They'll be back to give the French trouble soon, I'm sure.
